Schokolart
Done looking the above photos..? Yes, they are all chocolates..! There are so many variety that u’ll become drooling juz by thinking of which one to pick!
But the thing is…err…to be frank…(kalo korang tau mesti marah nie..kata aku poyo atau sbgnya…I actually didn’t try the choc, not even one of them..! please spare me, let me explain y..!)
And this is y:

now that you knw y...
We were having a main course, for I selected Prima Vera consist of Bake Salmon & Wasabi, and Zul get his favourite lamb sirloin. But for those who are not prepare to be surprised (just like Zul), the gravy is chocolate sauce… yes…chocolate…!
Once I actually watched the Iron Chef on channel 703, where there’s one episode their challenge is to cook beef in french style, and the challenger choose to marinate them in chocolate! She explained that this is their traditional meal. I wonder how it taste back then.
But now, that I tasted it, its actually not bad, for a change. They served the lamb sirloin with potato rustee and salad and thyme herbs which I taste blend quite well. The sirloin was tender but Zul didn’t really fancy the gravy. Well, some people just don’t i guess. He even asked the waiter if he can change to black pepper next time! hehehe

lamb sirloin
As for my dish, the baked salmon was served with the wasabi & rosemary herb, so taste is quite fusion. However, I would say I love Pizza Uno’s baked salmon better. By the way, Uno’s using gravy in tomato based. (Abang…na makan kt Uno lak bole?…muaks)

butter gravy with wasabi

peanut butter mocha romeo ice-blended..or so i tot it's called...
The ice-blended is sooooo….yummy! The crush is so smooth, but you can taste the chunk peanut butter blended with mocha goes really well together as the taste is so creamy & rich. (owh, feel like having one right now!)
And after having ice blended, we are so full that we can’t even think of any food! (yup, almost forgot, we did have the best thick and creamy mushroom soup for stater and that’s another reason y..) And that is why we didn’t have the choc…

Mushroom soup
Well, maybe next time…
As the service is very good, out of 5, i give 4 point overall.

the interior is quite fresh, loves the donut pattern fabric

They even have this spot surrounded by string curtain...romantic is the feeling u get in here

P/S: If anyone has try the choc., kindly let me know how it taste!
Cheers…!

Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa at Taman Melati

facade kedai
Kitorang memang suka breakfast mkn nasi lemak pagi2…(nama pun breakfast..takkan petang tak..?hengong gak aku nie…)
Tapi aku suka mkn nasi lemak antarabangsa kg. baru, zul pulak suka mkn nasi lemak lain tp kat kg baru gak… Alasan dia psl nasi lemak antarabangsa sedap mkn waktu mlm jer..kalo pagi nasi dia da semalaman(psl almost 20 hours kan)…tak sedap katanya…but no problem… Tak yah gaduh2..slalunya kitorang akan tapao mana2 nasi lemak yg kitorang suka and mkn kt tasik titiwangsa…(romantik gitu..hehehe)
Tapi yg aku na share hari nie ialah pasal nasi lemak ni dah di franchisekan, kat Taman Melati.Sebenarnya da 2,3 kali aku usha kedai nie, tp ms tu x bukak lagi, so aku slalunya terpaksa la breakfast at White Oldtown kopitiam (mcm tak rela pulak, padahal order breadtoast siap ngn dua biji half boiled egg lagi…kdg2 siap order mee pulak..kantoi…! huhuhu) tp, aku da ckp ngn zul, kalo kedai tu tak bukak jugak, aku na g kg baru gak, psl na jugak mkn nasi lemak tu..(ngade2nyer, ngalah org ngidam!)
So, mmg rezeki, kedai tu dah bukak pun, ramai org lak tu..!
Erm..bole tahan gak kedai nie, nicely design siap ader menu lagi…mcm tak biasa lak mkn NLA order guna menu…Ehem2!

menu siap ader bahasa omputih..cayalah!

Simple concept for dining, agak menarik di bandingkan dgn kedai nasi ayam ker...

aku paling suka wallpaper pic org tgh beratur kt kg. baru...mcm terase memori jer..
Jadi, kitorang ngn excited-nya order la standard menu kitorang, (padahal kalu aku aper lagi, nasi lemak ngn telur goreng la, ngn bergedel, zul lak suka paru atau rendang atau kerang..byk pulak atau…ok, kalo yg oder standard tu aku jer la).

Nasi lemak lauk rendang daging
So, bile sampai jer, kitorang ngn berdebar2 nyer rase la…same ker tak ngn original? And the verdict says…4 out of 5 points..! I can still taste the sambal remain the same, same goes for rendang daging, ok, ader lain sikit psl menurut kata Zul daging tu dia da ptg kecik2(itu pun na berkira ker)tp mmg rendang tu sedap cuma tak sesedap original, as for me, yg paling penting sambal dia tu… kena sama..camne pun of course yg original lagi kick! ( Aku rasa yg original lagi ckup asam garam kot)
But all this come quite pricey compared to Kg. Baru,but..hey… what do you expect? Tmpt mkn pun da cantik, bersih, (ok, this one bukan psl aku ngengada atau yg seangkatan dgnnya tp serius…! aku plg tensen kalo mkn kt sana pastu ader bau2an yg mematikan selera aku…and bukan salahku aku begini, mesti family upbringing! hehehe ~salahkan famili lak~ kalo kt umah tu, sebelum senduk apa2 kt pinggan mesti siram dulu takut2 ader lipas singgah ker…hik!) tak payah beratur pnjg2 ( walaupun kitorang rase servs dia agak slow, maybe psl baru kot…), so, as long as I can keep enjoying my fav. NLA with a better ambiance, I will surely come again, anda biler lagi..?
P/S: Zul bile dpt bil na dekat 20 inggit terus dia kt terase yg dkt Kg. Baru tu murah pulak…padahal slalu dia komplen mahal…hahaha….
Tom Yam Fried Rice at Penang Village, Plaza Damas
Enough about Ambank. They are driving me nuts! As today is friday (yahoo…!) me & GDP’s makan geng want to get away with the office hectic, workload and for me plus the drama with Ambank….
Actually, our Friday lunch break is from 12.45 to 2.30pm, so this is the only lunch of the weekdays for us to chill and have something else other than Kopitiam nearby our office.Mira wanted to have Kenny Roger’s so we decided to go to Plaza Damas. Unfortunenately, they are closed for renovation.
And so we pick Penang Village instead. I’m quite hungry as I just had roti petak for breakfast so I go for Tom Yam fried rice. They came in a leave shape white ceramic plate, rice was served with prawn fritter, mango kerabu (salad) decorated with fried bee hoon.

tom yam+mango kerabu= yumm...!

mango kerabu & prawn fritters

crunchy fried beehoon decorated as a bowl for kerabu
I enjoyed the combination of sweet & sour kerabu taste, spiciness of tomyam paste with a crunchy taste of fried beehoon. I really love this kind of fried rice, like something they served at William stall at Tmn Mayang, Pj, which they served with a fried crab.
And this is my rate, 4 out of 5 point! Dun believe ah…? Hv a look at my empty plate…hehehe ( mind you, bukan i sorang abihkan tau, dorang suma sibuk kecek..heheheh..ok la, ok la, mmg i mkn plg byk)

And bintang yg dia bg…3 setengah jer psl x der kerang…buktinyer…

dia mkn pun x abih...ader 1/2 lagi..mcm bintang yg dia bg
And last but not least, pesaing terdekat aku, nornor ( psl kitorang berebut nak order Pinang Village fried rice special, tp aku tetibe rase nak msm2 pedas, tu yg tukar tomyam..heheh)..which is nasib baik dia yg order psl hidangan dia mmg nmpk special…

pinang village special fried rice

mcm2 ada...(style arwah pak cik astro..) tp...jeng! jeng..!
rase dia…haram tak sedap! hahaha..ini di akui sendiri oleh cik punya bdn, pdhal nmpk sedap kan? ader udang, ayam goreng (suhida mesti suka psl ayam goreng), acar, sambal pes udang…tp yg peliknya…awat la x der ikan bilis? nornor la komplen, rase tawar jer, igtkan nasi goreng kg ader ikan bilis…(agaknya village fried rice ngn ns goreng kg x sama kot…psl village bhs ingeris nasi goreng pun style org putih…tawar jer..hehehe)
Tp nornor, tak nak kalah gak, dia bagi 3.75 markah…hehehe…ini ler mkn tak abih

nasi ader 1/2 ag, acar lagi la tak luak, harap ayam jer dia ratah..ayam sedap gak ar
Dan pemenangnyer ialah….jeng!jeng!

Roza! pdhal dia order kuew teow jer tp pinggan dia la 1st kena angkut..hehehe
Overall, aku suggest bole la na try mkn kedai nie, psl mase kitorang dtg pun penuh, mmg slalu pun nmpk penuh, agaknyer psl dia serve local food siap ngn ambiance ala2 mdam kwan cuma harga lg murah, design dia pun menarik guna bold kaler : merah, ader elemen2 penang tradisional, tingkap kayu painted in red ( refer pic roza), ader feature wall pinggan separuh lekat kt dinding which i find interesting..(ini la I.D, mkn pun na tgk tmpt cantik ke tak..huhu)
kalo ader sesape yg penah try kt sini bole comment menu apa yg korang pilih, bole share..

hai..seronoknyer pas mkn..na g shoping lak yer..?
er..aku opening td bahase omputih kan..? malu aku tertukar bhs tgh jln, xcited sgt la ni na cite, mls lak aku na taip balik… hehehe
Aglio Olio at Uno, Bandar Utama
What a better way to unwind after a stressful week at work?
Heading to our old time favorite dining place..Pizza Uno, for sure! But what’s keep me coming back isn’t the pizza but a yummy aglio olio spaghetti…
The place hasn’t change since our first visit.. around seven years ago, (ok, they did repaint and added some painting here & there)the incredibly delicious meal..except for the price that has gone up tremendously recently; something that we can still tolerate for the sinfully delicious mudcake! It’s way lot tastier than the one at Tony Roma’s…by our taste bud at least.

Warm mudcake served with ice-cream

dapnyer....
But my personal favourite here will always be olio; a spaghetti tossed with olive oil, garlic, dried chillies & basil, and their homemade ravioli which is stuffed with chicken & mushroom;( however i’ll stick with olio after this since my own homecook ravioli tasted better..the one that I posted before this..hey! my husband said that!hehehe…but even my olio is not bad, their’s are still the best! my guess would be the fresh basil used compared to dried leaves, i haven’t try that yet)

yummy spaghetti olio

So yummy for a dish consist juz olive oil & spaghetti!

Ravioli in green color
And our family all time favourite is seafood marinara in white cream which a must have for every visit, other than that we occasionally try other meals as we stick with our fav!
All in all, there’s no place like Uno (when it comes to pasta), and they always have a place in my stomach…
